ADA compliant website design and redesign
ADA compliant website design means accessibility is part of the design and code from the first wireframe, not a patch after launch. We redesign your site to WCAG 2.2 AA, keep your search rankings with a full redirect plan, and test every template by hand before it goes live.

Is this the right service for you?
It usually is when one of these describes you:
- Your site fails an audit on several fronts and patching it would cost nearly as much as a new one
- Your site is built on a page builder or old theme that produces inaccessible markup
- You are due a redesign anyway and want accessibility and speed built in
- You serve the public sector or schools and need WCAG 2.1 AA for the ADA Title II rule
What's included
- Design system with accessible colors, type sizes, focus styles and touch targets
- Semantic HTML: one h1 per page, landmarks, real buttons and links, headings in order
- Accessible forms with labels, clear errors and no time limits
- Keyboard and screen reader testing on every template before launch
- Content migration with a URL map and 301 redirects so you keep your rankings
- Core Web Vitals targets on mobile and a CMS your team can edit
- An accessibility statement and an editor guide at handover
Where the scope line sits
Fixed prices depend on clear boundaries. The left column is what a standard quote for this service covers; the right column is work we can add, but which is priced on its own.
| Covered by a standard quote | Priced separately |
|---|---|
| Design and build of the agreed templates | New copywriting (optional add-on) |
| Content migration of existing pages | Large PDF libraries |
| WCAG 2.2 AA testing on every template | Third-party tools you choose to keep that are not accessible |
| Redirects, sitemap and analytics setup | Hosting and domain fees |
How we approach it
- Audit the current site. We scan and spot test your existing site so the new design fixes the real problems, and we inventory every URL. Output: an issue summary and a URL map.
- Scope and fixed quote. We agree the pages, templates, features and content you need. Output: a written scope and fixed price in USD.
- Accessible design. We design the key templates with contrast, focus, spacing and target size checked at the design stage. Output: approved layouts.
- Build and test. We build on a staging link and test every template with a keyboard, a screen reader and axe-core. Output: a tested staging site.
- Launch. We move the content, set up redirects, submit the sitemap and confirm analytics. Output: a live site, an editor guide and an accessibility statement.
What lands in your hands at the end
- A new site built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA
- A test report covering every template
- 301 redirects from every old URL that changed
- A CMS your team can edit, with an accessible content guide
- Source code, design files and every account in your name

Typical timeline
A small business site launches in 2 to 4 weeks and a larger redesign in 3 to 6 weeks from the start of discovery.
- Content readiness, the biggest factor you control
- Number of templates and integrations
- How many old URLs need redirect mapping
What can go wrong, and how we prevent it
- Losing search traffic in the redesign. Every old URL is mapped to its new home with a 301 redirect, and we check the redirects on launch day.
- Accessibility that decays after launch. Components are built accessible by default and editors get a short guide, so new pages stay compliant.
Why choose us
- Accessibility tested on every template, included in the price
- Published USD prices from our own price sheet
- Your rankings protected with a full redirect plan
- Code, content and accounts are yours on final payment
Case studies
Our public case study is GastroCares, a medical practice site we built and maintain. We add case studies here only when a client agrees to be named.

FAQ Answers
Frequently asked questions
In practice, meeting WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 Level AA: enough color contrast, full keyboard access, visible focus, labeled forms, text alternatives for images, captions for video and a structure screen readers can follow. The ADA itself does not list technical rules for private businesses, so WCAG is the benchmark courts and the DOJ point to.
A small business website built to WCAG 2.2 AA is about $2,000 ($1,500 to $4,000). A larger site or redesign is $3,000 to $6,000 and an e-commerce store $6,000 to $20,000. Accessibility testing is included.
If the platform is sound, fixing is usually cheaper; see accessibility remediation. If the site is old, slow or built on a page builder that produces poor markup, a redesign often costs about the same and fixes more.
Not if it is done carefully. We keep URLs where we can, 301 redirect every URL that changes and check them on launch day.
Yes. The ADA Title II rule requires WCAG 2.1 AA. After the DOJ's April 2026 extension, entities serving 50,000 or more people must comply by April 26, 2027, and smaller entities by April 26, 2028. See our Title II guide.
